Coloring Book Garden Plants Victorian Language Of Flowers
$13.95
This is a coloring book with Floriography or Language of Flowers themed coloring pages. In the Victorian era some things just weren’t said so they communicated with flowers such as thoughts of admiration, bouquets from secret admirers, messages of unrequited love . . .
The book measures 8 1/2″ x 11″ and there are 38 pages to color and a plant for each letter of the alphabet, some letters having more than one. Each page has a black and white hand drawn design with the common name and botanical name at the top. At the bottom of the page there is the meaning(s) of the flower along with a paragraph of folklore, history, or other symbolism related to it. The reverse side of each coloring page is blank. If you use markers to color it is recommended to put a heavier piece of card stock down to prevent the color bleeding through to the next page.
A collection of traditional as well as unique plants that are really fun to color and learn more about.
These coloring pages are inspired by my book “Victorian Flora: A Language of Flowers Handbook” available on Amazon.
