CR ClayCraft

CR ClayCraft was born from a lifelong love of pottery that began when I was six years old and received a children’s pottery wheel for Christmas. After making my first wonderfully crooked pot and painting it with bright stripes, I was hooked. Over the next 40 years, I studied with talented potters, learned from pottery communities, and continued developing my craft.

In 2022, I built my own Nevada studio and dedicated myself to transforming a lifelong passion into a business. After years of practice, experimentation, and building the equipment and processes needed to create quality ceramic art, I launched CR ClayCraft.

Every piece is handmade in Nevada and inspired by the beauty, history, wildlife, and wide-open landscapes of the Silver State. From functional pottery to lamps and decorative pieces featuring Nevada imagery, my work is designed to help people bring a small piece of Nevada into their homes. The “CR” in CR ClayCraft stands for Christina Rote, the artist behind every piece.
