Red Fox Pinecone Mosaic

This beautiful mixed media piece of art has captured the majestic beauty of the Sierra Nevada Red Fox. Each mosaic is created on a salvaged wood background, pine, aspen, or other type of wood from the Tahoe region. The featured animal is sketched onto the background and filled in with pinecone scales. The last step involves painting the scales and adding additional accents. If you enlarge the photos you will see the animal has been handcrafted piece by piece.

Each mosaic is a one of a kind piece meaning that the one you order most likely will not be the exact piece in the photos. Each background is chosen particularly for the specific animal and may change from natural, to white-washed, to possibly a different color. Upon your order, photos will be sent to you as the piece is created and will include exact dimensions of the piece.
